It's 5 o'clock on a ... sunday? :-p

Well I guess it's time for a weekly update!

It has been a normal week, well as normal as one can be while in school! Classes are the same, though some weren't the best this week but they are getting easier. My brain still hurts by the end of the day somedays, especially on Tuesdays but it's not so much afterwards!

Sunday I was asked to go with friends to a party with the Franco-Americain club here - they're an organization that gets together to learn and practice English and they have parties every now and then - this one happened to be a country theme dance. It was very interesting, for one to hear some poor tastes in country music but even just the country music in general. They taught a line dance and we ended up dancing that for almost every song that night. There were some nice people there to talk to but most were adults and didn't actually converse with the few international students who were there... I finally was able to remember a line dance that I knew and roughly taught it to them - that took forever. And then we dance that to the same songs as before. By the end of the night I was tired of hearing the same songs over and over and dancing the same thing! It was interesting though. I put up some pictures from that night in my albums on here. Franco-Americain Soiree

Most of the week I didn't do much aside from go to class and the basic things. I got over the flu thingy I had last weekend so that was good at least! I hung out some more with Charlie - and in class on Tuesday we realized that we share the same birthday which was rather interesting! She's younger than me though, I think!. But we made plans to hang out on Wednesday after my one class and we went and paid for the pass to the gym/rec center here and ended up checking it out. Then later after my afternoon class we spent a good time in there working out and set up a plan to work out a few times during the week.

Then on Thursday evening I met up with Charlie and her friend Phil and we went to see a classmate of ours play in his band. We finally found the place after a couple stops on the metro and walking all over! But it was a good show and a decent night. Friday I didn't do much and actually crashed early after dinner as i was really tired. Saturday though I hung out with Charlie some more. We headed into centre ville and just walked around some shops. I got my hair cut, rather short actually! It's definitely a new change that will take getting used to but I added some pictures to my albums on here with the new me as well. Here's the link to that.
