Jacob's Inn in Dublin

Time for updates! Sorry there haven't been any for a few days - I didn't have wireless internet in the hostel I stayed in in Glasgow, Scotland. But I'm not in London and tapped into a wireless nearby and here are the blogs! (I'm not going to upload everything about what I did on wed because there was so much that I couldn't remember all the names and everything when I typed up my blog. Once I have time - I'll sit down with my maps and the help of the internet and fully talk about that day - again it won't be till sunday at the earliest!)

Well, I was talking about the hostel I stayed at in Glasgow in a blog I'm going to post after this... when I realized I didn't know how much I talked about the hostel in Dublin - and without the internet I couldn't even check... so here this is, though I think some I have already talked about.

The hostel was called Jacob’s Inn and was just off of Talbot street right near the city center. It had a hotel feel to it, with a 24 hr lobby and receptionist, a lounge area and the usual brochure racks. I checked in, paid my Euro for the key card deposit and then the guy at the desk told me how to get to my room but never showed me around or anything – just like a hotel would do assuming you know how it’s set up. So I head on up to my room, and the upstairs is set up like a hotel floor, took the elevator to get up there. As I got there late, there were guys asleep in the room so I had to be quiet.

The next morning I didn’t want to leave my stuff in the room as it was an 8 bed room with other guys, and especially didn’t want to leave my laptop out in the open or even risk it not being safe. I didn’t know what to do in a hostel, having never stayed in one before, but I asked the desk clerk what to do and they said I could rent a locker in the baggage room with a 10 Euro security deposit and 1.5 Euro per day. So I did that and headed over there and it took me past the kitchen. After putting my stuff in the large lockers, locking it up, I headed on out for the day.

Well, that's that... now the other day's blogs!
